Kabul, Afghanistan / NationalTurk – Nato helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan. NATO-led international military coalition informes a Nato helicopter crash in Afghanistan, in Shah Wali Kot district of southern Kandahar province, has taken lives of 11, seven international troops among the victims.

The military alliance ISAF ‘s statement reads that at least 3 of those killed soldiers are members of American forces located in Afghanistan. The nationalities of the other 4 soldiers were not immediately identified. The remaining 4 corpses belong to Afghans, 3 Afghan soldiers, 1 unfortunate interpreter.

‘ The helicopter crash resulted in the deaths of 4 International Security Assistance Force service members, three United States Forces-Afghanistan service members, three members of the Afghan National Security Forces, and one Afghan civilian interpreter.’

The Nato statement reports of four killed Afghans, three members of the Afghan security forces suppoprting Nato troops in their own country and one Afghan civilian interpreter.

The ISAF coalition in coherence with Afghan authorities states it is investigating the cause of the crash. Initial reports pre-investigation indicate no Taliban involvement in Nato helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
