Algerian footballers were stoned in Egypt when going to their hotel by Egyptians. The unprovoked attack on the Algerian players is thought to be the result of fans wanting to give Egypt an edge on the World Cup 2010 play off match that wiil be played on Saterday
The attack took place as soon as the Algerian team arrived in Cairo on Thursday night and was filmed by National Turk cameras. Many huge rocks were hurled at the team bus on its way from the airport. Several windows were smashed and three Algerian players arrived at their hotel drenched in blood and other with different wands.
