Anonymous hackers’ Russian branch has claimed responsibility for shutting down the Kremlin and the Russian President ‘s websites repectively. Breraking News

Moscow / NationalTurk – After a cyber-attack carried out by a group claiming to be the Anonymous ‘s Russian branch, the sites kremlin.ru and президент.рф have been unavailable for almost an hour on early Wednesday.

Anonymous tweeted ‘ Kremlin.ru – TANGO DOWN ‘ on their Twitter account, co-opting the military-derived code to report their successful hacking operation. Anonymous also provided screenshots taken from kremlin.ru, showing off that the russian website was unavailable in different countries around the globe.

The webpage of the Russian Federal Security Service, fsb.ru, has faced performance problems throughout the Wednesday, albeit there is no info on whether the issue has anything to do with Anonymous and its cyber-attacks.

Anonymous hacks again, targets Russia’s Kremlin

‘Russian Anonymous’ had warned they would launch an attack at Russian governmental sites on Monday this week to demonstrate solidarity with the Russian opposition demos.

The websites gov.ru and government.ru also targeted by Anonymous hackers attacks on the same day, but did not go down. The Internet websites of several Russian media outlets were also brought down due to a denial-of-service attack on the same day. But no group has claimed responsibility for those attacks as of yet.
