Argentinian doctors grauated in Cuba

Argentinian doctors graduated in Cuba, have taken care of more than 24,000 patients in poor neiborhoods of this capital and the province of Buenos Aires, for free.

As part of the so-called Tatu Proposal, the young doctors distributed in their 18 missions 20,000 medications and other items such as crutches, insoles, orthopedic shoes for children, clothes, regular shoes and food, said coordinator Gino Straforini.

Tatu Proposal, the name the relutionary leader Ernesto Che Guevara used in the Congo guerrilla movement, is helping seven thousand people, including 1,880 children lacking sanitary assistance, basic services such as electricity and potable water who live in the area.

Straforini highlighted the incorporation of young people coming from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires and the support given by experts from other hospitals to this humane project. mh/as/tac mv/mpm
