Arsène Wenger is angry with all, but only Arsenal is to blame

Arsène Wenger furious after Arsenal diminish their title chances

After Draw Gunners are now six points behind Manchester United

Arsène Wenger has refused to give up on Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title despite their hopes of topping Manchester United from top spot suffering a dramatic blow in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Wenger’s team was poised for victory after Robin van Persie’s penalty in the eighth minute of added time, but for the visitors equalised through another penalty  four minutes later. Arsenal are six points behind United with only six matces to play.

Wenger was left enraged at the referee, Andre Marriner, for pointing to the spot after Emmanuel Eboué appeared to push Lucas Leiva in the 101st minute of the match. He denied the full-back had fouled Leiva and following Dirk Kuyt’s conversion – which proved to be the last kick of the game – confronted the referee on the pitch asking why he had gone over the shown eight minutes of added time, he also lambasted Andre Marriner for the penalty decision against Emmanuel Eboué.
