Assad on Syria TV : Amnesty to all but terrorists / Syria Civil War

Syrian president Assad offered amnesty to all crimes committed in Syria ahead of Muslim’s holy festival but excluded ‘terrorists’.

Damascus / NationalTurk – Syrian President Bashar al-Assad declares amnesty for all crimes committed in Syria “up until today,” with the notable exception of “terrorist crimes,”. His amnetsy offer was televise on Syrian state TV.

Bashar Assad, who has been fighting a 19-month revolt against his regime, “decreed a general amnesty for crimes committed before October 23,” excluding those carried out by “terrorists” – the Syrian regime’s term for rebels of the so-called Free Syrian Army, who chant all day nothing but ‘ Allah-u Akbar’.-

The decree applies only to criminals who surrender to Syrian authorities and not those on the run, according to the report. It was not immediately clear if the amnesty includes those in prison.

Speculation on Syrian rebels’ side rise as the oppurtunity is a ruse and Assad forces will execute those who surrender to the amnesty call by Syrian president Assad.
