Atletico Madrid fill departing Aguero’s gap with Falcao transfer

His transfer to Atletico Madrid will help cover the loss of Argentina super ace Sergio Aguero, who left Atletico Madrid for Manchester City this summer for €45 million.

The 25-year-old Falcao scored the only goal in the Europa League final in Dublin.

A statement on the Atletico website read: “Atletico Madrid and Porto have reached an agreement for the transfer of Radamel Falcao to the Rojiblancos. The Colombian striker, top scorer in last season’s Europa League with record 17 goals, will sign a contract for five years with our club.”
