Video Highlights – Barcelona managed to score four goals at the Nou Camp against Sevilla to secure the Spanish Super Cup with a brilliant performance by Lionel Messi who scored three on the night.

Barcelona were facing an uphill struggle against Sevilla after losing their first leg 3-1 a week ago at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium.
But Barcelona were able to outdo their opponents once again with some brilliance by Messi and Co as the little Argentinean wizard was able to score three goals and secure his sides triumph.
However it is fair to say that Barcelona had it easy going after some despicable defending by Sevilla which gifted Barcelona two goals.
The Catalan giants scored their first goal on the 14th minute after Sevilla’s Abdoulay Konko scored an own goal after Pedro weaved through the defense and did a low cross.
Though Konko scored the first goal, the lead up to the mistake was worth seeing after Barcelona played possession football for at least 40 seconds before the ball was behind the net.
By the 25th minute Lionel Messi made the score line 2-0 after a beautiful 30 metre through ball by Xavi put the wizard one-on-one with the keeper who converted the play into a goal.
Messi’s second and his team’s third came after another combination of great teamwork between the Barcelona boys but most of the work was done by Dani Alves.
The 27-year-old who received the ball from just past the half way line, burst into the area with some trickery and saw Messi running towards the front post.
The Brazilian passed the ball to messi who’s shot went to the roof of the net.
Messi’s hattrick came on the 90th minute after a ball into Iniesta by Villa put the Spaniard in line to set up the Argentine for an easy finish.
Though there have been financial problems within the Catalan side and certain bad days predicted after former Coach Mourinho going to Real Madrid, Barcelona certainly showed that they are still one of the greatest teams in the world and they mean business.
