David Beckham will miss the World Cup 2010 South Africa after tearing his achilles tendon on his left foot.

David Beckham was on the floor in agony due to his injury and was seen by television crews while in tears.

The former England skipper limped of the field signalling to the bench to be substituted. while on the sideline he was heard saying “It broken, It’s broken”.

Beckham was flown to Finland to have surgery today but he knows he will not be able to make to the World Cup in South Africa due to the severity of the injury.

AC Milan’s club doctor said last night that he will be out for at least 5 to 8 months and that his worries lie in weather Beckham’s career is over or not let alone his England appearance at the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
