Transfer News – Turkish giants Beşiktaş are reportedly back in the race to sign Brazilian International Robinho after Bernd Schuster reiterated that if “we want to be succesfull in Europe” the Black Eagles will need a world class striker.

Manchester City forward Robinho linked with Beşiktaş

German manager Bernd Schuster who organized a press conference before the UEFA Europa League 4th qualifying game against Helsinki said “if we want success in Turkey and Europe, Bobo and Nobre will be too weak” as Beşiktaş strikers.

After the transfer of Ricardo Quaresma and Real Madrid veteran Guti, Beşiktaş were after a high profile attacker. The Istanbul side had already been turned down by Manchester City after a 18 million Euro bid.

Beşiktaş had then turned their eye on Manchester City’s Emanuel Adebayor, but now the eagles are back on the track of the Brazilian who is reportedly been wanted by Schuster who worked with the ace striker while at Real Madrid.

Beşiktaş had also been rumored to be looking for a transfer sponsor to accumulate the money required to transfer such a big name to the Turkish side but had initially failed. However, it is alleged that Beşiktaş have now managed to find an unspecified sponsor and are getting ready to make an improved bid for the Brazilian.

Many sides have been interested in the Brazilian including Barcelona, Germany’s Schalke 04 and teams from Italy.

NationalTurk can also confirm that close sources to Beşiktaş JK have also said that the Brazilian forward may be coming to Istanbul within the week.
