More than a thousand activists and workers from 60 countries whave witnessed yesterday in Cuba the traditional May 1 parade, at which workers from the Caribbean island celebrate their union gains.

Havana / NationalTurk – The parade attended by leaders and members of global organizations who annually reaffirm their support for this nation in demanding the end of the U.S. economic blockade and the release of five anti-terrorist convicted in USA.

The agency called on workers, peasants, students, soldiers, retirees and housewives to the parade each May 1 takes place at the Plaza de la Revolution.

According to the secretary of the CTC ogeneral, Salvador Valdes, on May 1 Cubans celebrate access and right to employment, health and free education and social security.

March in support of improving the national economy, and in pursuit of greater efficiency and savings to realize the socialist project, said on his part a call for the Union of Young Communists.

The text recalls that in other parts of the world that date is cause for celebration protests and claims for labor and social rights of the vast majority, usurped by the capitalist oligarchy, against today’s rising voices of the excluded.

The privilege of being born on this island rebel and the meaning of it in termes of hope and encouragement to the poor and oppressed in USA and the world, highlights the youthful appeal of May 1 parade.

In this regard, the CTC sent a message of solidarity to the workers and people who has suffered by the global economic crisis, who are brutally suppressed for demanding their rights for fair work and normal life.
