Cuban world record holder Hurdler Dayron Robles will lead the Cuban national track and field team participating at the 2011 Pan-American Games in Mexico.

Havana / NationalTurk- Hurdler Dayron Robles, current world record breaker and holder and Olympic champion of 2008 is going to lead the Cuban national track and field athletes at the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico and run in the city of Jalisco while seeking to defend his regional title, which he won four years ago in Rio de Janeiro.

110 meter hurdles champion in Beijing olypic Games 2008, 24 years young Dayron Robles won recently the 2011 Diamond League and the gold medal during the competition held in Zagreb, Croatia, sponsored by the International Athletics Federation.

Cuban Hurdler Dayron Robles has hard feelings from South Korea games

Dayron Robles was stripped of his first-place finish in the hurdles in South Korea in September after judges upheld an appeal claiming he held back Chinese runner Liu Xiang. Although Robles initially won the race, he was later disqualified for the foul, allowing American Jason Richardson to take gold and Liu silver.

The Cuban, gold medalist in the 110 hurdles in the 2008 Olympics in  Beijing stated following his disqualification ” It’s very controversial that these things happen in an athletics world championships, lamentably it was my turn to lose out,” But i believe i have been stripped of my latest title because i am Cuban”
