The young keeper has risen to establish himself in the first team football in Atletico Madrid and prominence in a very brief period and was not sure whether he was ready to leave the familiar surroundings of his hometown and jpin a Premier League club so early in his fledgling career. However, David de Gea has now told his team mates at Atletico Madrid that he is leaving to play for Manchester United to replace the retiring 41 year old Edvin Van der Saar and that his parents and girlfriend will be joining him in England.
