Dwight Howard trade and tirade soon over : D12 en route to Nets ?

Dwight Howard trade talks seem to be finally over as the Nets, next season to be named Brooklyn Nets, put all effort to match up with the Miami Heat Big 3 if everything works out with Howard trade deal.

NBA Trade News / NationalTurk – Dwight Howard trade deal includes keeping point guard Deron Williams with the Nets and making other free agent moves for the newest franchise in the NBA. The Nets have been very active in the free agent market 2012. On Monday they seemed to have completed a deal for Atlanta shooting guard Joe Johnson.

The Nets & Magic are discussing a blockbuster trade that would send NBA’s best center Dwight Howard to Brooklyn Nets for Brook Lopez, Kris Humphies, Marshon Brooks and the Nets’ first-round picks in 2013, 2015, 2017. Dwşight Howard trade deal move would give Brooklyn Nets the newest Big 3 of NBA : Deron Williams, Dwight Howard and Joe Johnson + Gerald Wallace as defensive ace.

Dwight Howard trade is the subject of deal between the Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic

After a series of moves by the new Nets—signing small forward Gerald Wallace, trading for shooting guard Joe Johnson, paving the way  for free-agent point guard Deron Williams—in the first two days of free agency and a stone wall in talks with Orlando Magic seemed to put the opposite side of New York out of the running for the Magic’s disgruntled center, the Nets could have hope of completing their massive, star-laden overhaul with Dwight Howard in the middle. On Monday, after the Nets completed the trade for Johnson, sources around the situation were not optimistic about the possibility of the Nets and Magic being able to work out a deal—

ESPN.com’s Chris Broussard reported the Nets are in trade talks with the Magic on a deal that would send Dwight Howard to Brooklyn Nets. In exchange, Orlando would get three first-round picks, plus center Brook Lopez, guard MarShon Brooks and power forward Kris Humphries. Lopez is a restricted free agent, and Humphries is an unrestricted free agent, so both would need to be part of a sign-and-trade package. According to Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix, Hedo Turkoglu would also go to the Nets in the deal that is being discussed.

Dwight Howard trade talks : Howard has the final word , Nets is my destination, D-Will my teammate

Orlando GM Rob Hennigan was said to be unwilling to accept a deal package based around Brook Lopez and Brooks, and the Brooklyn Nets did not want the heavy contract of small forward Hedo Turkoglu in return. But with Dwight Howard insisting on being traded to the Nets, both sides, apparently, were willing to negotiate.

Joe Johnson is owed $89 million over the next four seasons. In exchange for Johnson, the Nets would send the Atlanta Hawks the expiring contracts of Jordan Farmar, DeShawn Stevenson, Johan Petro and Anthony Morrow, as well as next season’s lottery-protected pick obtained from Houston.

If successful in making the Dwight Howard trade deal, the Nets would almost certainly sign star point guard Deron Williams, too, completing a risky process that has played out over the last 16 months, when general manager Billy King first traded for D-Will with no assurance that he would re-sign as a free agent. That would leave the Brooklyn Nets with their own star trio—Howard, Williams and Johnson—to rival those in Miami and Oklahoma City.

Dwight Howard has sought a trade from the Orlando Magic since the NBA’s lockout 2011 ended in late November, but with the Magic unwilling to pull off a trade deal, Dwight Howard decided at the trade deadline in March that he would opt in for the final year of his contract and play for the Orlando Magic at least one more year. It seemed like a deal of a win win sitiuation for Dwight and Magic. Dwight wanted taht Orlando Magic could trade him and get something to build on afterwards. That, though, dissolved once more internal strife between Dwight Howard and the Orlando organization blossomed, and after the Orlando Magic fired coach Stan Van Gundy and GM Otis Smith, Dwight Howard said this time his trade demand was genuine and final.
