El Clasico Real Madrid 2 Barcelona 1: Real Madrid did not give trophy to Barcelona again / Real Madrid vs Barcelona Supercopa 2012 Video

Real Madrid vs Barcelona  Spanish Supercopa match was fascinating again. The first title of the year, the Supercopa of Spain , was for the white team, now 2-1 home defeat to Barcelona thanks to 30 minutes of fury .

Like many other league vs. cup winner confrontations, Spain’s Supercopa is supposed to be a low-key preseason affair, but it is anything but when Real Madrid and Barcelona square off. Last year’s Supercopa was memorable for Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho poking then-Barca assistant Tito Vilanova in the eye. This year’s Supercopa won by Real Madrid on away goals will be remembered for two brilliant goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the second leg.

Gonzalo Higuain in the 11th minute and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo in the 19th lifted the 3-2 first-leg against serious errors by leveraging defense of Javier Mascherano and Gerard Pique, respectively.

The Barcelona , outclassed in the first half, was left with ten expulsion from Adriano in the 28th minute straight red card. The free-kick from Lionel Messi before the break prevented the blush was coming to see the first half hour and balanced the duel.

If the first leg ended badly for Barcelona Victor Valdes error that gave the 3-2, today’s not start well with the injured Dani Alves warming , forcing Tito Vilanova to align Jordi Alba to the left and pass right Adriano.

Barcelona looked anything but secure in the first half of the second leg at the Bernebau Stadium, though there was nothing it could do on Ronaldo’s back-flick to push the ball in front of him and break clear on goalie Victor Valdes and blast a shot that hit off the Barca’s keeper body and into the goal for the second Real Madrid goal in the first 19 minutes.

After Brazilian Adriano was sent off for taking Ronaldo down from behind, everything looked lost for Barcelona, but Messi pulled a goal back on a free kick he curled around the Madrid wall from 30 yards.

The goal left the series tied at 4-4 and Real Madrid won on the away goal. Difference: Barcelona goalie Victor Valdes’ howler in the dying seconds of the first leg.

“The first half belonged to us and generally the whole game did,” Real captain Iker Casillas said. “We came in on a bad run and the fans were doubting us a bit, but there are days when you have good luck and days when you have bad.”

Euphoria in Madrid over the Supercopa title won’t last long. Having tied and lost its first two games in La Liga, Real Madrid is already four points behind Barca in La Liga after two games.

The Real Madrid was hurt by the defeat and superiority Barca in the first leg of the first two league games without a win, the speech made by Jose Mourinho on the eve and the obligation to provide good image in their feud.

Cameroon’s Alex Song debuted and Croatian Luka Modric for each side, but the game passed without more goals, with the Real Madrid first tournament champion of the season with Barcelona and wounded but standing, something that did not seem possible in the 30 minute match.

Next chapter, the League, and perhaps the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. Here is the link to watch next el clasico
