Though England was the controlling side in the game, the three lions missed some important chances and failed to convert their high possession game into any goals.

Important chances were missed by both Peter Crouch and Wayne Rooney who looked off his dazzling form of last season.

However Montenegro’s Milan Jovanovic who had almost given England a penalty after handling the ball in the area moments before saw his rocket of a shot smash off the crossbar after beating Joe Hart.

Ferdinand who spoke after the game slammed the German referee Manuel Grafe and the linesman who missed the clear handball Jovanovic made.

Ferdinand said “You expect the referees to be able to be up with play and performing at the highest level. Today, we just didn’t get that.

“When you’re playing at international level, you’ve got to deal with situations that come about.

“Today we had two really good shouts for a penalty and we didn’t get them.”

The 0-0 scoreline ended both England’s and Montenegro’s perfect winning streak with the visitors currently leading Group G with 10 points and England second with 7 points but a game in hand.

  1. The English press have literally destroyed England National team. Watch out Rooney is on his way out of Man U, just to get a break.
With all the derogatory commnets from the English press, they will never win a cup.
If you want to criticise, then do it constructively, they do it destructively.
