Polish and Russian football fans fight in Warsaw on Thursday before and after Poland vs Russia football match between the two famous football teams at the EURO 2012 championships. Video

Police used an armory of tear gas, water cannon, rubber bullets and pepper spray and detained dozens of brawling thousands of football fans ahead of a key Euro 2012 match between two football teams Poland and Russia. In the capital of Poland police arrested around 120 people and that at least 10 people were hard injured. A few groups of polish and russian young men, some of them masked, pelted Polish officers with rocks, bottles and flares.  Footage in television has showed one man who was lying motionless on the ground.

Russian fans had arranged a march through Warsaw before the football game to mark Russia’s Federation national day. Nonetheless some of the Polish fans on a bridge on the march route was trying to attack the Russian football fans and had been involved in scuffles. One of the russian news agency reported there were a separate incident, namely about fifty Polish football fans in masks attacked Russian fans in a Warsaw cafe.

Polish riot police have seen dragging people off as Polish fans warbled : ‘ Russia whores, Russia whores ‘ and ‘ Hit the red trash with a hammer, with a sickle. ‘ There was also a banner saying : ‘ Polish President murdered in Russia, ‘ referring to a plane crash in Russia 2 years ago that killed Poland’s president and 95 others on the board.

Helicopters rounded the city sky, as ‘ vuvuzela ‘ trumpets blared below and thousands of chanting Polish fans decked out in their national colours red and white made also their way in a loud, but regular fashion to the stadium. Around 20 thousands Russian football fans were look forward in Warsaw for the match.

After the riots russian officials said that russians football fans behavior was better than after turmoil during last opening match Russia against the Czech Republic team.
