Euroleague Draw : Debutant Besiktas to face giants of European Basketball, Mensah Bonsu will be showing windmill dunks somewhere else than Besiktas due to Fikrat Orman's incompetency at Besiktas chair

Euroleague Draw completed. Turkish clubs Besiktas, Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce will face opponents in 3 groups. New Euroleague participants Besiktas Istanbul have though competition ahead with Barcelona and CSKA Moscow in the same group.

Euroleague News / NationalTurk – Turkish champions Besiktas will have to go trough tough battles to advance last 16 in this season’s Euroleague competition. Besiktas faces European powerhouses Barcelona, CSKA along with Partizan from Serbia, Lietuvos Rytas from Lithuania and German champions Brose Baskets.

After an amazing season with 3 trophies ( Eurochallenge, Turkish Cup and Turkish League) Besiktas Basketball has lost its sponsor, coach and important players such as David Hawkins, former NBA players Carlos Arroyo and Zoran Erceg and fan favourite Pops Mensah Bonsu. Turkish coach Ataman led Besiktas to its first Turkish Basketball League title in 37 years but the incompetent Besiktas board under ‘ loser ‘ Fikret Orman’s presidency failed to find a new sponsor for the historically successful Basketball team. Erman Kunter, a former player and coach replaced Ataman who had a successful coaching career in France.
