FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa – Thursday’s schedule.

FIFA Amblum South AfricaDay seven of the FIFA 2010 World cup in South Africa is in full swing with the second group stage matches that started yesterday between South Africa Vs Uruguay which the South American side won 3-0.

We are usually used to the first stage matches to be generally slow and not so exciting but, we are expecting some great goals and skills from players in the second and third group stage matches before going to the knock out stages where the competition really starts.

Thursday’s games will see two important contenders play in their respective groups which are Argentina and France.

Thursday FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa clashes.


Argentina Vs. South Korea – 13:30pm local time

Argentina Vs South Korea will be Group B’s third game with Argentina beating Nigeria 1-0 and South Korea Beating Nigeria 2-0 in the first two games.

The Argentina Vs South Korea match will be played at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg which has a capacity to hold 94,700 flag wielding fans. The game will kick off at 1:30pm Local time (TR time – 2:30pm : UK time 12:30pm).

Greece Vs. Nigeria – 4:00pm local time
The second game of the day, which is Group B’s fourth, will be between the two sides which lost both their opening games in the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa.

Both teams will be looking to win and the loosing team should there be one, will be eliminated from the competition.

The Greece Vs Nigeria match will kick off at the 48,000 capacity Free State Stadium, also known as Vodacom Park in Bloemfontein. The match will start at 4:00pm local time (TR time – 5:00pm : UK time 3:00pm).

France Vs Mexico – 8:30pm local time
The third and final game of the day will be the fourth game of Group A between France Vs Mexico. With Uruguay beating South Africa 3-0 on Wednesday nights game, both teams will be going on the field knowing that, they must win.

The France Vs Mexico game will be played in Polokwane at the 46,000 capacity Peter Mokaba Stadium. The game will be played at 8:30pm local time (TR time – 9:30pm : UK time 7:30pm).
