It stirred controversy immediately, since the start of a league raises eyebrows of many while some chairmen and managers of sports clubs are already jailed. This also means, that it is the most likely scenario, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor ( if the team manages to go through qualifier leg) will be playing in the Champions League. Fenerbahce president is jailed, and Trabzonspor president has been detained today.

One of the Turkey’s biggest clubs and last season’ champions Fenerbahce Istanbul is getting through the roughest time of the club’ 104 years history. Fenerbahce President Aziz Yildirim has been jailed yesterday, Fenerbahce fans are protesting the court verdict, while some sources state, that lobbying already began on who will be the leader during the period absent AzizYildirim.
