Iron Maiden Sonisphere Festival – A freak storm in Finland wrecked havoc during Iron Maiden’s concert which was part of the Sonisphere Festival, injuring 40 people and destroying the bands stage equipment and tour plane.

The equipment of fellow rock artist, Mötley Crüe’s Alice Cooper and Iggy Pop also had their equipment totally destroyed after huge black clouds and high winds

followed by hailstones hit the concert area in Finland.

The storm which lasted for all but five minutes almost cost the lives of two rock lovers after the pair were critically ill in hospital but fortunately they have both been reported to be in better shape and are recovering.

Though the English heavy rock bands entire equipment were destroyed, they continued to play their legendary songs after borrowing equipment from fellow band “Slayer”.

Bruce Dickinson the Iron Maiden singer and the pilot of the bands now smashed up plane said on stage “The stage over there is completely f****d. Mötley Crüe have gone home as their stuff is f****d and our stuff is f****d, but we don’t care. We’re not going home until you go home” to the fans.

The huge black clouds speeding towards the concert area caused havoc in the area as one of the stages were so badly damaged that it is currently being held up by a crane after huge hailstones and lightnings which struck did irreparable damage.

The organizers of the concert said in a statement “A severe thunderstorm hit (the) Sonisphere Festival in Pori, Finland.

“Strong freak wind gusts damaged the stages and knocked down tents and fences.

“Approximately 40 people were injured, two of them seriously.”
