The former manager and legendary footballer of Fenerbahce FC Ridvan Dilmen described Spain International Guiza as the opponent team’s defender in an article he wrote for a newspaper.
Ridvan Dilmen the former Turkey International wrote in his column that “Guiza (the International that was part of the team that won the Euro 2008 for Spain and received the golden boot in La Liga for the 2007-2008 season) is no different then an opponent teams defender. The man just cannot score goals.”
Guiza the now Fenerbahce player who is on a 4 year contract and receives €3 million a year has had some criticism lately for the lack of goals he’s scored since he came to the Turkish side in the 2008-09 season. However remarks of such a legendary footballer at Fenerbahce has surprised and shocked the Fenerbahce community.
Ridvan Dilmen also went in the firing line of Aziz Yildirim the chairman of Fenerbahce who transferred the La Liga star from Real Mallorca for 14 million euros on a 4 year contract. The chairman who is respected in the Fenerbahce community was reported to be disappointed with Dilmens thoughtless and amateur like remarks.
