Pop star Bruno Mars has finally arrived at the pinnacle of show business: the native Hawaiians in 2014, appearing in the Super Bowl halftime show. The number of viewers is likely to be, as usual gigantic high.

R & B singer Bruno Mars has been awarded the contract for one of the most sought-after music performances in the world: The Grammy winner will sing in February in the Super Bowl half-time before an audience of millions. This was announced by the National Football League NFL.

The Super Bowl is the annual NFL playoff and one of the world’s biggest TV events, precisely because of the traditionally designed pompous half time show. More than 100 million viewers watched the show in the past year on the TV screen on. 2014 final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford (New Jersey) will be held.

With his nomination, the 27-year-old Mars joins a whole parade of stars that were already occurring in the half-time show. Legendary Janet Jackson’s “Wardrobe Malfunction” in which they 2004 – accidentally, of course – could live a breast flash on TV. Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Prince and Justin Timberlake were allowed to sing at half time already also, last year it was Beyonce who showed up in tight leather outfit and knee high boots in the crowd.

“It’s just an honor,” Mars said himself about his invitation. “We will celebrate, we celebrate for sure.” 2010 he had taken a sensational debut album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans”. Last year he published “Unorthodox Jukebox” his second studio CD. In 2011 he won with the song “Just The Way You Are,” the Grammy for best performance of a pop singer.
