The Hollywood dream couple Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin goes their separate ways. “With hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate us,” announced the actress and the singer of the band Coldplay.

After ten years of marriage is final: Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin separate.

“With hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate us,” the couple announced on Paltrow’s lifestyle website Goop.com. “For more than a year we work with, partially, partly alone, because to see what would have been possible between us, but we have come to the conclusion that even if we are still very dear, we will remain separate. ”

A statement on Paltrow’s website Goop said they would “consciously uncouple” but “in many ways we are closer than we have ever been”.

The couple married in 2003 and have two children – Apple, nine, and seven-year-old Moses.

The statement read: “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate.

“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.

“We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.

“We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time.

“We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”

At one point the lifestyle website crashed due to the number of people visiting to read the statement.

Martin, 37, met Oscar-winner Paltrow shortly after the death of her father in late 2002 and they married just over a year later.

Coldplay’s song Fix You is one of a number of tracks Martin is said to have penned about the actress.

Paltrow’s recent career has included roles in the Iron Man franchise and the TV series Glee.

However, she has not managed to hit the highs of her early career when she won the best actress Oscar for Shakespeare In Love in 1999.

The LA-born actress was once engaged to Brad Pitt, her co-star in serial killer movie Seven. She also had a relationship with actor Ben Affleck.

Martin’s career with Coldplay is set to kick into gear again in May when the band release their sixth album, Ghost Stories.

Speaking last year when she was named the most beautiful woman in the world by People magazine, Paltrow gave a glimpse into the couple’s domestic life.

“Around the house, I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t really wear make-up. That’s what they’re used to,” said Paltrow.

“If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like ‘Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!’ because he’s used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair.”

Gweyneth Paltrow, who won an Oscar for the film “Shakespeare in Love” and the British singer Martin had married in 2003. They have two children, Apple and Moses. The couple asked to respect his privacy and that of his children.
