Pick a litlte, talk a litlte another great song from The Music Man that cheerfully exposes the human tendency to pick on others so’s nobody’ll notice us failing, too. Why pick on gays??Let me answer that by relating why chickens will often pick a deformed or ailing chicken to death fear. Chickens are fairly smart animals, smart enough to know that they are luscious prey to a lot of other animals. A deformed or sick animal doesn’t have fast enough reflexes to escape or warn the others so if a threatening situation occurs, the weakest chicken is killed by it’s own peers.I know because this happened to my chicken, Susyanna. She had a deformed leg, but it didn’t seem to bother her much. I did have to put her in the chicken house at night, as she couldn’t quite manage the litlte ramp. One night I went out just before twilight and she wasdead by the door. The other chickens were in the coop, two of them with bood on their beaks.I think gay haters are just like my old chickens, easily terrified and afraid of losing their own life or lifestyle. There is also the possibility that many of these haters were themselves sexually abused by someone of the same sex and see hate as their only manly defense to keep from being picked on again.Since our society refuses to openly deal with the hideous rate of child sexual abuse (over 25% of children under the age of 11 are abused according to evidence from hospitals, schools and professional counselors), we have to expect that some backlash will occur.I never succeeded in retraining my chickens; do you think there is hope for the gay bashers?
