Isco Leads Real Madrid To UCL Final In Cardiff

Real Madrid advanced to the UEFA Champions League final after beating Atletico Madrid 4-2 on aggregate in the semifinal series.

Real Madrid reached their third Champions League final in four years after eliminating Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday. After the 3-0 home win last week, the 2-1 away defeat on Wednesday was enough for the reigning champions to earn a 4-2 aggregate win.

Saul Niguez headed home a 12th-minute corner before Antoine Griezmann doubled Atleti’s lead from the penalty spot 17 minutes later to spark scenes of jubilation within the Calderon.

The early goals rocked Los Blancos, but Zidane’s side regained their composure before the interval as Isco finished after brilliant byline work from Karim Benzema to restore Real’s momentum in the tie.

Juventus and Real Madrid will meet in Cardiff on June 4 to decide the winner of the 2017 UEFA Champions League.
