The terrorist militia “Islamic State” (IS) has killed hundreds of children in Iraq after Un-information. Up to 700 children have been killed or maimed since the beginning. The said Commissioner for Children and Armed Conflict UN envoy Leila Zerrougui before the UN Security Council.

Because of the difficult security situation, the investigations of the UN are slow loud Zerrougui. The crimes against children could thus still be more numerous, as observed by the UN.
The children were sometimes summarily executed, Zerrougui reported. Boy of barely 13 years would have to bear arms, guarding strategic locations and arrest civilians. Some children were used as suicide bombers.

Even with the Iraqi government allied militias accused the UN envoy to recruit in the fight against IS child soldiers. The Iraqi government has also arrested several children, one of which was unclear where they were being held.

The IS has advanced on 10 June on Syria in the north of Iraq and systematically hunts there other faiths. Amnesty International deplores expulsion of historic proportions. Nearly one million people had fled. The UN has already denounced atrocities, including the sale of women as “war booty”.
