British actor James Corden has won the best actor prize at the Tony Awards 2012 in New York. The famous actor star James Corden was nominated in the category ‘ Best Performance By An Actor In A Leading Role In A Play ‘ for his role in the Broadway production of One Man, Two Guvnors.

James Corden as ‘ Francis Henshall ‘ in One Man, Two Guvnors won out against the favourite Philip Seymour Hoffman, James Earl Jones, Frank Langella, and John Lithgow. Very emotional James Corden first acknowledged his colleague  nominees, has told : ‘ John Lithgow and James Earl Jones and Frank Langella – and my favourite actor in the world, Philip Seymour Hoffman – to be on a list with you was enough, and holding this honestly just reminds me there is no such thing as best. Honestly, I am overwhelmed. ‘

British actor star James Corden fought back his emotions as he received his award, paying tribute to his girlfriend Julia,  who gave birth to the couple’s son 5 days before rehearsals for the show began.  ’ She is my baby mama, and I cannot wait to marry her. Seriously, I would not be holding this if it wasn’t for her. ‘

In the speech of the video below he said to the audience he was overwhelmed at being nominated alongside such highly-regarded actors. James Corden added : ‘ To be on a list with you was enough and holding this, it honestly just reminds me that there is no such thing as best. ‘

At the end of speech british star James Corden said : ‘ She makes me say us instead of I and we instead of me, and I love her. Thank you very much. ‘
