Lacey Brown was voted off from American Idol yesterday after her performance of Rolling Stones “Ruby Tuesday” could not wow the audiences.

America’s most watched TV show which is aired on FOX TV had the contestants sing popular songs from legendary rock band Rolling Stones.

The American Idol Rolling Stones week had mixed reviews from the judges and audiences as many of the contestants underperformed.

Lacey Brown’s “Ruby Tuesday” performance was done well, especially compared to some of the other contestants.

Tim Urban’s acoustic reggae version of Rolling Stones “Under My Thumb” was seen as the most “bizarre” performance of the week.

Paige Miles, Tim Urban and Lacey Brown were all in the bottom three. Much of the audiences and judges were very surprised when Tim Urban who many believe to have been kept on the show for his looks was the first contestant to be safe.

Paige Miles who happens to be Lacey Brown’s room mate managed to sing a decent “Honky Tonk Woman,” on Tuesday night and had the bigger share of the votes.

Brown then sang for the last time to the judges so that they can vote amongst themselves for the controversial one-time Judges Save.

The Judges Save rule was introduced last year and allows the judges to save a contestant from being eliminated only if all decisions are unanimous. The rule will be applied until the top 5 contestants.

Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell all agreed unanimously not to use the Save option.
