Liverpool sends Andy Carroll for transferring to Arsenal’s Theo Walcott / Liverpool Transfer News

Air Carroll on the  West Ham way, Theo Walcott will Transfer to Liverpool before transfer deadline day.

Liverpool will launch a bid for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott if they manage to offload Andy Carroll before tomorrow night’s transfer deadline.

The Gunners insist Walcott, who has entered the final year of his contract, is going nowhere during this window following talks between the England international and boss Arsene Wenger yesterday.

However, their resolve will be tested if Liverpool can generate sufficient funds to put a £15million offer on the table for the boyhood Reds fan.

West Ham will launch a final attempt to land Andy Carroll before the window closes with a deal that will shape Liverpool’s transfer fortunes.

Though the England striker has consistently made it clear he does not want to leave Anfield, his omission from the squad for Thursday night’s Europa League qualifier against Hearts effectively means his Liverpool career is over.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers would like to add Theo Walcott to his squad, even though it emerged the Arsenal forward will see out the final year of his contract at the Emirates after holding amicable talks with Arsene Wenger.

But should Liverpool offload Carroll, they would be in a position to test Arsenal’s resolve on Walcott, who earlier this summer turned down a new five-year deal worth £75,000 per week.

Theo Walcott, though, did not want to be pushed towards the exit door and still has the security of another year on his contract. Wenger is uneasy about allowing players to enter the final year of their contract but, after speaking directly with Walcott, is now prepared to accept the situation.

Arsenal were also encouraged by the tone of the discussions and the news that Walcott has no particular desire to force a move, even amid interest from Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea. The resolve of Arsenal and Walcott, however, could be tested by a sizeable offer over the next 48 hours.
