Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been banned for eight games after British FA found he had racially abused Manchester United’s Patrice Evra.

Luiz Suarez always denied the racism charge and Liverpool were firm in support of their player, with manager Kenny Dalglish saying last week: “We are standing right beside him and helping him as much as we possibly can.”

It had all started when Patrice Evra revealed immediately after the Liverpool Manchester United match at Anfield Road that Luiz Suarez had repeatedly abused him with racial remarks believed to be ‘negro, negrito, ape, monkey, tripod’, as Patrice Evra said on French television station Canal Plus that Luiz Suarez had racially abused him “more than 10 times” during the game. Evra had not revealed the exact content of Suarez’s racially abusing words but stated they had upsetted, frustrated and dissapointed him.

And the FA disciplinary panel agreed with Evra, their statement Tuesday saying: “An independent regulatory commission has today found a charge of misconduct against Luis Suarez proven, and have issued a suspension for a period of eight matches as well as fining him (48000 Euros), pending appeal.”

“The insulting words used by Mr Suarez included a reference to Mr Evra’s colour. “Mr Suarez shall be warned as to his future conduct, be suspended for eight matches covering all first team competitive matches and fined the sum of ($63,000), FA announced.

It is believed Suarez called Evra ‘monkey and/or ape’, with ‘ negro and negrito ‘ as sidekicks during the game. Suarez career is in danger.
