Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney denies Alex Ferguson ankle injury claims

Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has spoken out on Sir Alex Ferguson’s injury claims over the forward, saying he has not been injured.

The England and Manchester United forward had been grilled by sports pundits over his performance this season compared to the last campaign.

Rooney was also in the media spotlight over his private life after it had been alleged that he had been having sex sessions with prostitutes while childhood sweetheart and wife Coleen was pregnant.

Ferguson had claimed that he had not played the forward against Valencia and Sunderland saying the 24-year-old had an ankle injury.

Rooney was asked how his injury wows are affecting him especially after missing games due to the injury on his ankle in which the forward replied “No, I’ve had no ankle problem all season”.

Rooney’s remarks came after the 24-year-old who will be turning 25 in less then a fortnight played in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro in which he looked completely fit and even missed a couple of chances.

The problems for the performance worries of last season’s star United player started during the 2010 World Cup where his lack of goals and hunger was visible.
