Diego Maradona has been given the all-clear by doctors in Dubai after surgery to remove kidney stones following hospitalization two days ago.

Abu Dhabi / NationalTurk – The legendary Argentinean football player / manager Diego Armando Maradona, the incumbent coach of the Al Wasl team, was hospitalized in emergency with an acute renal colic, the club from the United Arab Emirates reported on its official Twitter account.

According to the communiqué, Peluza Diego Maradona has underwent surgery on Sunday and is likely to be discharged on Monday.

“Maradona was admitted in the hospital, after suffering from complications due to kidney stones. He will be operated on tonight and will be discharged tomorrow,” the Twitter post said.

The Argentinean coach, world champion as a player with his country’s team in 1986, has been training the Al Wasl team since the beginning of this season.

A statement released Monday by the Dubai-based club Al Wasl informed the manager and former Argentina great was told he could leave the hospital and recuperate at home. He underwent surgery Sunday after complaining of abdominal pains.
