Olympic Gold medallist Dayron Robles, the Cuban super star will be racing in the Mens 60 Meter Hurdles Final of the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championship held in Doha, Qatar.
Robles who won gold at the Athletics championship in Lievin, France last week carried on to impress with his performance.
Robles greatest rivals are two US runners Terrance Trammell and David Oliver. Robles stopped the clock at 7.74 seconds in heat two of the three semifinals events.
His confidence gave Cubans and Latin Americans more hope as he strolled through the last few meters of the race after he got to a bad start.
The 60 meter mens hurdles at the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championship held in Doha will take place later in the day.
Cuba’s Yargelis Savigne also managed to impress after she got Silver in the womens triple jump competition by jumping 14.86 meters. First was Olga Rypakova of Kazakstan at 14.90 meters.
Cuba’s William Collazo also got Silver in the Mens 400 meter after stopping the clock at 46.31 seconds just behind gold medallist who finished the race with 45.96 seconds.
