Talking about the latest James Bond film Skyfall Sam Mendes, Daniel Craig and Berenice Marlohe attend a press conference and photo call in Turkish biggest city of Istanbul.
Sam Mendes, one of the famous Oscar winning fim directer has promised a return to the original character of James Bond as depicted in the Ian Fleming novels as he continues work on the 23rd installment of the franchise, Skyfall.
Mendes also admitted that he would not have made a Bond film without Daniel Craig playing the MI6 agent because of the complexity he brings to the character.
Famous direcor said that Fleming created was a very conflicted character… Some of those things were explored in this movie because Daniel as an actor was capable of exploring them and I was interested in exploring them too.
Mendes also stated that that was a big thing for me, having a Bond who I believed in, who I felt could take the character to a new level. I could imagine another actor and I wouldn’t had wanted to do it.”
That image doesn’t reflect the conflicted character the novelist Ian Fleming devised 59 years ago, Mendes told a press conference in Istanbul, where Skyfall was shot this month.
