Pakistan Government to Diclose ‘Samjhaute Blast’ Report

Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Friday (April 15) that they have received the report regarding Samjhauta Express blast and it would be disclosed publicly only after they have examined it.

Speaking to media Malik said, “The report on Samjhauta Express has reached us. First we will examine the report and then put it before media.”

Notably the blasts took place in two coaches of the Samjhauta Express around midnight of February 18 and 19, 2007 near Panipat in Haryana. Sixty-eight people lost their lives and 12 others injured.

Out of 68 who died, 15 bodies could not be identified and out of 53 identified bodies, 43 were of Pakistani nationals. Out of 12 injured persons, 10 were Pakistani nationals.
