The officer who losses balance then punches the woman on face in front of dozens of onlookers.

The young woman holds her face visibly in pain.

Several angels of the incident from different people who witnessed the police officers actions have been uploaded on popular video sharing websites such as YoutTube, and has since gone viral.

Seattle police officials have said on Tuesday that officers belonging to the state are trained and authorized to punch suspects in certain situations.

However officials have expressed their concern of an officer who punched a 17-year-old girls teenager.

There was criticism against Officer P. Walsh as it took too long to put the handcuffs on the teenage woman.

One official said Walsh should have tried to put the woman to the ground to handcuff her rather than trying to arrest her on her feet.

The woman was being arrested for jaywalking with a group of friends on 3100 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way.

An investigation has been started over the actions of the 39-year-old officers actions, according to acting deputy police chief Nick Metz.

Both woman were arrested and later released.

  1. The cop obviously didn’t know what he was doing. Why didn’t he just give her a ticket? Since when do you get arrested for jaywalking?
Why didn’t he use pepper spray? Why didn’t he try to tase her? Where was his back up? And why didn’t he try to handcuff her on the ground? There are sooooooooo many questions here, but most of the answers should come in court from this incompetent police department.
