Prince Harry has apologised over racist remarks about a Pakistani member of his army platoon which has been leaked onto video sharing sites.
The News of the World published the video diaries which Prince Harry himself records and calls his fellow platoon member a “Paki”.
A spokesperson for the British army has said that the allegations were being taken “very seriously” and were investigating the issue.
The incident prompted widespread anger, especially in the Asian community. The Ramadhan foundation called Prince Harry a “thug”.
St James’s Palace was upset by the remarks of Prince Harry but defended him by saying he used the term about his friend and did not intend any harm.
The British army released a statement saying “The Army does not tolerate inappropriate behaviour in any shape or form”.
