Dubai / NationalTurk – Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani has asked for allowance to launch steps to support Syria’s opposition, including arming rebels. They could use weapons to ‘ defend themselves,’ he made a suggestion.

‘ We have to try to do something to send enough military help to stop the killing,’ Reuters quoted him as saying on Monday. ‘ But, this means to stop killings with more killings’ a journalist asked before he was beheaded.

The Qatari prime minister stated that Arab countries should take part in an international military effort to end the bloodshed in Syria after 11 months of insurrection against Syrian president Bashar al Assad in which thousands of Syrians have been killed.
