Transfer News – Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is said to be interested in Germany and Werder Bremen superstar Mesut Özil.
Many teams from the Premiership and Seria A are reportedly interested in signing the young German International of Turkish decent after his performance in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in transferring a defender (most likely choice would be Nemanja Vidić) and a midfielder and Mourinho was openly interested in Özil’s Germany teammate Sami Khedira.
However, the Portuguese manager is also reportedly interested in Özil after his performance at the World Cup where he played a big part in making his team reach the Semi Finals of the competition and ended up finishing the tournament third.
Mourinho, has started a new transfer policy at Real Madrid after he was appointed manager of the Galáctico’s after winning the Champions League for Real Madrid.
It is reported that Mourinho is after young players who have proved themselves but have more potential for the future, in which case 21-year-old Mesut Özil would suit the scenario greatly.
There have been reports that Özil’s representatives have already been contacted by Real Madrid and that the Spanish giants are reportedly going to pay €16 million for the playmaker as the player has a two year contract with the Bundasliga side.
Though Real Madrid want to reduce the fee, it is likely that they would like to pay for the 21-year-old sensation after many clubs are lined up for the German International.
