Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in Rome Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday Turkey observed the terrible condition of poor countries and unlimited consumption in rich ones.

Erdogan delivered a speech at the Summit of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome as a guest of honor.

Eradicating such an imbalance and inequality is crucial for the future of not only poor nations but also rich ones, Erdogan said.

We should not permit the destruction of feeling of justice and solidarity in the world, Erdogan stressed.

We support the efforts and initiatives of the FAO and World Food Program in order to facilitate security for food production in the world, Erdogan also said.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy.
