Fethullah Gülen’s website fethullahgulen.info, a page dedicated to Islamic community leader Fethullah Gülen, has been hacked by the Turkish RedHack organization.

Ankara / NationalTurk – Turkish hackers, members of RedHack organization posted its emblem on Fethullah Gülen’s website.

Members of the socialist RedHack group replaced the original contents of the website with their own emblem – a red hammer and sickle with a hand holding a computer keyboard – and a message that read ‘ Down with the imam and his minions. Long live the revolution.’

RedHack was responsible for hacking into Ankara police’s database in February, when they downloaded secret information including messages from informants and passwords to email accounts of high-ranking Turkish police officers. The incident revealed that the Turkish police used the number sequence ‘123456’ as a password to save and protect secret documents.

Redhack declared their sucessful hacking of Fethullah Gülen’s website via Twitter with a tweet read ‘ Blessed Fridays..’, a reference to holy day of the week for Muslims.

Gülen movement seeks to subvert modern secular states, but encourages practising Muslims to use to the full the opportunities they offer. He escaped from Turkey and lives in the USA since 1997.

Over the years, Fethullah Gulen extended his political anf influental reach from Turkey to the Turkic republics of the former Soviet Union, then to other successor states of the Soviet Union, the Balkans and finally the West.
