Rolling Stone magazine announced the New album by Rock Legend Jimi Hendrix / Showbiz News

Jimi Hendrix took his music in new, experimental directions in the late 60s – and this work has now made its way onto an album.

Jimi Hendrix’s official website said People, Hell And Angels would be coming out on March 5.

It follows Jimi Hendrix in 1968 and 1969 as he worked on material away from his band The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

His website said the tracks suggest new, experimental directions, with Hendrix toying with horns, keyboards, percussion and a second guitar.

Rolling Stone said the guitarist had been considering these new sounds for First Rays Of The New Rising Sun, the planned double-album follow-up to Electric Ladyland.

It features an image of the album cover, displaying a black and white portrait of Hendrix wearing a military-style jacket and scarf.

The Rolling Stone magazine said: “The album artwork is simple, yet as distinct as Jimi Hendrix’s signature guitar wails. Be experienced yet again.”

Hendrix is generally considered to have been one of the most important musicians of the 20th century.

He was instrumental in developing the previously undesirable technique of guitar amplifier feedback, and had his initial success in Europe rather than the United States.

Hendrix was a headline act at the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, before dying from drug-related asphyxia at the age of 27.
