Saudi Arabian King Abdullah had given orders to help ‘ its brother nation ‘ Turkey in its efforts to deal with the devastation of the Earthquake.

RIYADH / NationalTurk: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday it would donate $50 million in aid for Turkey earthquake victims.

According the the latest reports the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit the eastern Turkish province of Van on Sunday has left at least 570 people dead and at least 2,555 injured, with many more still missing and probably in the rubbles of more than 2000 collapsed buildings.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had left for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to extend his condolences following the death of Saudi Arabian Defense Minister Crown Prince Sultan Bin Bad al-Aziz.

Prince Sultan Bin Bad al-Aziz, who had been heir to the Saudi throne since 2006 and defense and aviation minister since 1962, died of colon cancer in New York last week. Sultan served as defense minister of Saudi Arabia for 50 years. His funereal was held on Wednesday in Riyadh with participation of state official across the world.
