But if latest claim should be true he has to splash more money solely for Hiddink’s salary.

According to sports editor in chief of ” Cumhuriyet ”, one of the prestigous newspapers in Turkey, Turkey manager Guus Hiddink’s salary is €10M, not the alleged €4M.

There still is some speculation ongoing about Hiddink ‘s annual salary, only more heated now, because of Hiddink’s probable move to Chelsea management seat. €4M is the declared annual salary in Hiddink’s contract with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). Its known that Guus Hiddink has an advisory role for Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea while he was coaching Turkey, for free.

However  the sports editor in chief of ” Cumhuriyet ” in Turkey stated early today in a live sports news show on ” Ntvspor ” claimed that TFF is paying Guus Hiddink €10M annualy to keep the capricous manager in the management seat.

Guus Hiddink was the centre of  controversy in Turkey, well prior to the speculations regarding his move to Chelsea. His working hours as Turkey manager, the player picks for the squad, are often critised by the sports media in Turkey. So Hiddink was somehow forced to watch even games from the lower leagues in Turkey and openly admitting that he was bored to death having watched these games. That points out his discontent of being the Turkey manager.

Every latest news indicate that Roman Abramovich is trying his best to complete the deal and land Guus Hiddink back to Chelsea.

Hiddink had a brief spell in charge of Chelsea when he was also coach of Russia in 2009, but Turkish Football Federation denies the possibility of Hiddink coaching both a national and a club team, depending on a clause in his contract with Turkey.

Turker Tozar, Turkey’s senior national team communications manager said “Only last week we refused an approach for him from Ajax and the contract between him and our president (Mahmut Ozgener) does not allow him to work for a club while he is working for the Turkish national team.There is a specific clause and our president would refuse any attempt to change that.

The communications manager also added, ”If you look at Mr. Guus Hiddink’s career, he has always fulfilled his contract and he has also told us that Turkey could be his last stop as a coach. We would like him to take us to the 2014 World Cup finals.”

Hiddink has also indicated that he has no intention of moving back to Chelsea.

Chelsea will have a solid fight on their hands to lure succesful dutch coach Guus Hiddink as their next manager once Carlo Ancelotti leaves the english club.

Mourinho’s love of England and Chelsea is no secret, but he defiantly held back his emotions regarding Roman Abramovich.

Turkish Football manager, Hurser Tekinoktay said “90% of a game is up to the footballers and 10% belongs to the manager, but that 10% is needed to win a game.”

Mourinho, no matter how much he did not speak of it and when he did, denied it. This game was personal for him. It was this game that mourinho could ultimately prove that Abramovich made a huge mistake, It was this game that showed how important Mourinho was to Chelsea.

During the game “The Special One” had orchestrated another brilliant symphony for all eye’s to watch.

He kept the back tight and new that while Chelsea would attack, they will start to make mistakes at the back which his team full of stars will be able to capitalise on.

The plan worked as usual and one Samuel Eto’o came to action on the 78th minute to pounce on a beautiful Wesley Sneijder cross.

After the game Mourinho said “We were the best team by far, we deserve this victory, this must be almost a perfect performance. they tried to get back with conflict, long balls and diving in the box but I think everything we did was superior.”

Mourinho also admited that he “celebrated a lot in the dressing room” but is he to blame.

Mourinho also re-iterated that he might come back to the premiership some day by saying “Who knows, in the future I may coach another English team and I will come here, again as an opponent,” .

Mourinho carried on to say that he does not think he will be special in Stanford Bridge no more as the Chelsea fans will never forgive him after the game.

I beg to differ. In the eyes of Chelsea fans, Mourinho will always be someone to be reckoned with. Mourinho is “the special one”, his name written in gold in the clubs and premierships history.

Why? Because of his personality, because of what he added to the premiership and because of all the silverware by the museum at Stanford Bridge which he helped decorate so beautifully.

The first leg of the Champions League Knockout stage saw Inter Milan Triumph against the West London side with Inter Milan beating Chelsea 2-1.

However rather then the teams, it was the managers who took centre stage with Jose Mourinho facing Chelsea for the first time since his controversial exit from the club on 20th September 2007 after feuds with Roman Abramovich.

Another really important fact to think about was Carlo Ancelotti, the Chelsea Manager who had returned to Milan for the first time since his exit from AC Milan the fierce rivals of Inter Milan.

The Fact that both managers have won the Champions League, Jose Mourinho with Porto in 2004, and Carlo Ancelotti with AC Milan in 2003 and 2007 has also added extra excitement to the fixture.

The billionaire businessman, Roman Abramovich, suddenly came out of nowhere and turned the European football transfer market on it’s head with big money spending.

The charismatic Jose Mourinho, who came from a sporting family, started as a teacher and a low level coach, and made his own luck with his knowledge of the game. Mourinho managed his big break into the game with a lucky translator job for Bobby Robson at Sporting Clube de Portugal where he managed to befriend the English coach. Together they moved on to Porto and then Barcelona where Mourinho gathered the relevant experience required to coach a team.

Jose Mourinho was a big success at Chelsea as he managed a unique bond with the players and managed Chelsea as the fifth club ever since the Second World War to have back-to-back premiership victories (2005 to 2007).

So what had managed to make the charismatic Mourinho known as “The Special One” exit the club?

It was a collaboration of wrong doings mainly in the part of Abramovich which had eventually led to the exit of arguably the most successful manager of the clubs history.

The problems started with certain players being sent from the club, notably Eidur Gudjohnsen the Icelandic international who was transferred to Barcelona against the will of Mourinho.

But what ultimately ended Mourinho’s rain at Stanford Bridge was Andriy Shevchenko’s transfer from AC Milan for a club record fee. The Ukrainian striker who was regarded as one of the best players in the world at the time of his transfer to Chelsea, performed very poorly and only managed to score 14 goals in total in his debut season.

As Shevchenko’s performance carried on to decline, Mourinho started to drop the star signing of the summer out of the first 11 which made Abramovich unhappy.

The 06-07 premiership season had seen growing media attention on the Mourinho, Abramovich relation and there were even speculation that Mourinho will leave at the end of the season. There were also alleged power struggles between Mourinho and sporting director Frank Arnesen and Abramovich advisor Piet de Visser.

The final straws from the Abramovich administration at Chelsea FC came with the appointment of Avram Grant as Director of Football which was a sternly objected move by Mourinho. The situation got out of hand for Mourinho when Grant’s position at the club was anchored as he was given a seat on the board.

The tension came to breaking point when Dutch winger Arjen Robben was transferred to real Madrid and French midfielder Florent Malouda moved to Chelsea.

Mourinho finally departed from the club on 20th September, 2007, by mutual consent with the club following a meeting with the board.

Mourinho left the club with an impressive record. He had won Chelsea six trophies in three years and also undefeated in all home league games he managed in.
