James Bond Skyfall continues to be shot in Istanbul old city. The peninsula surrounding the old city will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for days.

Istanbul / NationalTurk – James Bond comes to Istanbul, Turkey, yet again, however this time it will bring traffic jams, closed avenues along with the movies set.

James Bond Skyfall has been shot partly in southern Turkish province of Adana, now the set of Skyfall is being moved to Istanbul Turkey.

James Bond Skyfall’ shootings will take place between 14th April and 5th May mainly in Eminönü district, in and outside of Grand Bazaar and Balat, one of the ancient areas of the old city. The peninsula surrounding the old city will be shot to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for almost 3 weeks. The production company of Jame Bond Skyfall will pay the owners of shops on the closed streets 750 Turkish Liras a day to cover their three-week loss. The owners will have their shops open however they will not be able to make sales during the shootings of latest  James Bond movie.

More than 500 extras and 100 stunts will participate in the shooting of James Bond Skyfall, Eminönü square will be turned into a grand bazaar area, where scenes like motorcycle chases and car explosions will be shot.

Daniel Craig, the recent James Bond and other actors and actresses from Skyfall will be flocking to Istanbul and staying at Çıragan Kempinski along the beautiful Bossphorus shore.
