Spain´s national football team closed the year 2011 aat the head of FIFA’s top ranking as World and European Champion.

Spain sits comfortably at the top with 1,564 points, followed by Holland (1,365) and Germany (1,345). Spain also earned the Team of the Year title for the fourth consecutive year.

For Latin America, the best standings are held by Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina and Chile, the fourth, sixth, tenth and 13th in the world rankings.

Uruguay boast their best performance in the last decade, owed mainly to the championship spectacularly earned at the Copa America 2011.

All of the European teams in the top ten of FIFA World Ranking will participate at Euro 2012 in Poland/Ukraine.
