Suicide bomber kills 7 in Pakistan

The death toll in a suicide bombing in northeast Pakistan has risen to seven, the government said Monday.

A suicide bomber blew himself up Sunday at a checkpoint at the entrance to a mosque in Muzaffarabad.

The dead were comprised of three police officers and four civilians, said Irshad Ahmed of the Muzaffarabad police.

Another 81 people were wounded in the blast, of whom 53 were still hospitalized, Ahmed said.
