After Besiktas and Fenerbahce, two of three biggest clubs of turkish football, involved in the match fixing probe , the third ”big’ club Galatasaray is also hit by the latest investigations.

Police searched Galatasaray training facilities in Istanbul, and Galatasaray’s new stadium TT Arena, where some offices of club’s executives are located, is the next area to be searched by the police.

Galatasaray finished the turkish leauge in 2010-2011 season far beyond champions Fenerbahce in one of the worst seasons the club had suffered. In the ongoing match fixing probe, which started on the 3rd of July, Galatasaray remained untouched by the accusations.

According to claims, Galatasaray is accused of rigging and fixing the championship decisive game between Denizlispor-Fenerbahce at the end of 2005-2006 season, where Fenerbahce got a draw and lost the championship title to rivals Galatasaray. Another suspected game is from last season’s clash between Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, which ended 1-0 for last season’s runner ups Trabzonspor.
