Shocking claim from a Turkish parliamentarian : The match-fixing investigation in Turkey came to a stop, after an important name appeared in the files.

Istanbul / Turkey – Justice and Development Party Gaziantep deputy Şamil Tayyar claimed in a sports broadcast show at Turkey’s NTV Spor Radio, that the match fixing investigation was stopped, when a important figure, he named as x, appeared in the files. The Mp had filed a complaint letter to Turkish President Abdullah Gül earlier this moth with a request  not to approve the altered regulation on violence in sports law.

Tayyar said, the investigation was going on just fine, until some important figures came up. The investigation has been stopped due the appearance of this ‘X’ person, whom everyone knows.
